Oliver Cromwell Sean Toomey Cuchulain's real name was Setanta, and he lived with his mother in Dundalk. He got his name by slaying King Culann's dog. Without a dog he had no one to guard the house, so he had to for punishment. Cuchulain means hound of Culann. He decided to take up arms and set out with a wise friend named Ibar. They arrived at the fort of the three sons of Nechtan. He fought the first son, Foil MacNechtain. Ibar said he could not be pierced, so Cuchulain slams him in the head with a rock and cuts his head off. Next he killed Tuachell and cut his head off and placed it next to his brothers. Finally he killed the third brother in the water by drowning him and cutting his head off. He looted the castle and returned home. On the journey home he picks up two live deer and 24 swans. When he arrived at the castle people marveled at the sight of three heads, two deer and the swans. No one recognized him except the king. He was so hot from his battle he had to be put in three separate cauldrons of water to cool him down. Cuchulain did all of this at the age of seven. She was so angry with him she summoned the Vikings with promises of land if they would invade and defeat Brian Boru. On his march across Ireland he managed to gather up over 20,000 Irishmen. On April 23, 1014 he arrived at the battlefield crucifix in one hand and sword in the other. That day the Irish would be victorious. It is said that only 20 Vikings survived the battle of Clontarf. Embracing Change Easy words to say. The type of words seen on decorative Facebook posts with oceans in the background, like you never thought about dealing with change before. I recently had a hard day. Not of challenge or obstacles, but of the silent yet keen edge of change. After attending a luncheon featuring an author Id just learned of, an annual event Id attended for years, I left deflated and demoralized, and I couldnt put my finger on the reason why. Actually spent the better part of the day pondering what in the world had knocked my internal gyroscope off its center. My very core felt bruised. Nobody did anything horrendously wrong or broke any social mores to get up at arms about. That literary event had become a staple in my world, but it had developed new leadership, and some of the old guard was gone. The speaker wasnt like the others, a bit formulaic without much inspiration, and the event adjourned with little fanfare, less charm. . . the sense of special gone. It was more about me accepting the fact that nothing remains the same. Im usually good at embracing change, often excited about the opportunity it presents, but this altered an environment around me that Id come to rely upon as. . . unchangeable. It was like losing a close friend, with nobody else around to fill that void the way they did. . . knowing the change was permanent. Like when we have to learn how to publish differently or lose an editor thats always molded us well. Like when a magazine folds for which weve written dozens of pieces. Like when we change to self-publishing because traditional isnt paying as it used to, only to learn that indie is a whole different animal that might not pay any different. Or when publishers (of any kind) change rules and methods weve come to consider second nature. So, I did something I havent done in years. I opened a book of poems. Mary Oliver, to be precise. She was so good at simplifying life and noting whats important. I turned to poetry to calm my mind and to make sense of the change. The Web refers to a body of information, while the Internet refers to the physical side of the global network containing a large amount of cables and computers. The Internet is a 'packet-switching' computer network. When a person sends a message over the Internet, it is broken into tiny pieces, called 'packets'. These packets travel over many different routes between the computer that it is being sent from to the computer to which it is being sent to. Phone lines, either fibre-optics or copper wires ones, carry most of the data packets. Internet computers along the path switch each packet that will take it to its destination, but no two packets need to follow the same path. Queenie Volupides, the wife of the deceased Arthur Volupides, claims that her husband slipped and fell on the stairs while he was coming down to the kitchen for another alcoholic beverage. She says that she wasn’t home when the incident occurred. She states that she was at a country club that was hosting a party and that when she arrived home (at approx 1:15 A. M. ) she found him lying on the stairs dead.However, the crime scene shows many inconsistencies within Queenie’s Story. Deputy Blank arrived on the scene at around 2:15 A. M, responding to Volupides 911 call. After viewing he crime scene, Deputy Blank noticed that in Arthur’s left hand there was an unbroken glass (presumably what he was drinking alcohol in). This raises many suspicions. If Arthur had tripped and fell down the stairs, then the glass shouldn’t be in his han d unbroken but instead somewhere in the vicinity of his body shattered.This is because, usually, when somebody is falling down the stairs they will drop whatever is in their hands to try to grab a rail or really anything to try to regain balance. Also, the glass was found in his left hand and when somebody is intoxicated, they can barley stand let alone attempt to hold a glass in their non-dominant hand. Also, Deputy Blank noticed that Queenie had been cooking something when officers arrived. While she was expecting guests, the body of Arthur was just feet away from the stove. Most people would have noticed the dead body and called the police right away.Responding officers have theorized that the pan she was cooking in is the murder weapon. Upon further inspection, Blank also realized that Arthur was still in his formal suit when he was killed. When Questioning Queenie about this she says that he was supposed to go to the party with her but before she left they had gotten into a fig ht. That explains why he had gotten into his suit but yet still doesn’t explain why he had stayed in his suit. If Arthur had been home for more than ten minutes, then he probably would have taken off at least his shoes, robe, and tie.Suspicious where near confirmed when Arthur’s autopsy came back. It did confirm that Arthur had had a high blood alcohol level. It also concluded that he had died from a wound on his head. If Arthur had really fallen down that flight of stairs then there would have been more injuries than that of the wound on this head. Maybe if he had a broken bone or was bruised then Queenie’sâ€Å" falling down the stairs† story might have been believable. Our recommendation is that Queenie Volupides is charged with Arthur Volupides Homicide.
